This is my Saturday Rap where I give updates about my site and also give you the best links on the web that I have found this week.

First, the site update…

You know, I woke up this morning thinking I had nothing to update you guys on. As you saw I could only get out two articles this week. Traffic suffered for it, but I think I am going to start progressing toward fewer posts that are longer. Traffic seems to go down when bloggers do this, but subscribers tend to go up faster so we will see how it goes.

And now the surprise… I got an email this morning from blog carnival. They plan on featuring the Carnival of Personal Development on the front page. They just started doing this and out of hundreds of carnivals they picked mine to be one of the first. Pretty sweet aye? 😉 (Side note: I just noticed that they have 6242 carnivals listed. I did the math and it will take over 17 years for them to feature all of them. Not to mention the new ones being added everyday. I feel even more special now!)

Just wanted to let you know that we’ve chosen carnival of personal development to be our featured carnival on Friday, February 6th. You’ll see it splashed on our homepage all day.

  1. Mental Bias – Would You Like Fries with Your Warm Fuzzy Platitudes – This is a guest article by Ali Hale that she wrote on Sid Savara’s site. This one is quite different from the normal personal development stuff you get on the net and its reading that really makes you think.
  2. How to Make Your Own Luck – Great article simply about Luck. Very thoughtful and has an interesting statistic worth knowing.
  3. Are You Sleepwalking Your Life Away? – Another thought provoking article. It is good to think about and answer this question.
