Make Your To Do List of 20 Things You Love to Do

There is certainly a power in writing things down. I truly believe writing your goals down will help you accomplish them. This exercise is a little different and I think it will help you do more of the things you love to do in this life…

I was inspired to write this after reading Mare’s post called Five Joyous Tips for Being Happy. The very first tip is this exercise so I figured I would share my list with you guys. So here we go…

  1. Spend quality time with friends and family.
  2. Shoot the breeze with my roommates in my office or on our back porch.
  3. Read a great book.
  4. Play with our dogs in the backyard.
  5. Write great insightful blog posts. 😉
  6. Take Road trips.
  7. Ponder Life.
  8. Make a great discovery such as finding a great new blog.
  9. Travel to the mountains.
  10. Take great photos.
  11. Make new friends.
  12. Enjoy the great outdoors.
  13. Play just about any sport with friends.
  14. Cook a good meal.
  15. Learn new things.
  16. Work with a great team of people to accomplish great things.
  17. Teach people things they don’t know.
  18. Talk to people who have led interesting lives.
  19. Play my guitar, or bass, or drums, or rock band…
  20. Write lists that fascinate and inspire people. 😉

  1. Hi Jeremy: Your list includes a lot of things that I also enjoy doing. Although #19 is completely foreign to me since unfortunately I don’t play any musical instruments. It’s amazing you play so many. Thank you for the mention and the link 🙂

  2. @ Mare – Thanks for the compliment and thanks for talking about that video. I think it is a great and inspiring idea!

@ Akmed – Thanks for visiting AND subscribing! Being a subscriber means a lot to me. And thank you for the compliment. Ive been tweaking the site alot to make it look good.

  3. Lists are great. Many years back I wrote down 50 things I wanted to do, then stashed my journal and didn’t look at that entry again for years. When I did, I was able to tick off lots of items. And I wasn’t even consciously working on that list – had forgotten about it, in fact. Imagine the power of looking at the list everyday…

    Great post again, Jeremy.

  4. There’s nothing new to be added to the list! Every point is perfect. Guess I need to concentrate more on points #1, #9 and #14. And I have been fortunate enough to accomplish one task very successfully! I have been fortunate enough to discover cool and insightful blogs like yours and I am really loving every second of what I am doing!

Had this been my list, I would have included the fact that I love typing long comments! 😛
