As winter approaches, and because I live in a dry climate, I have often wondered how to keep my skin looking fresh, clean, and healthy.
One of the best things that has worked for me was actually limiting my use of soaps. On most days rinsing with water and possibly washing my face with a wash cloth has worked wonders. I try to have an intuitive sense about when my body needs soap to do the extra cleaning work it needs. I try not to make it an every day thing. I also try to use soaps that are gentle to the skin in the first place.
I also looked around for some great resources on the net.
This site gave 8 ways to improve your skin. How to Prevent and Treat Dry Skin One of the surprising answers to me was to eat more Omega 3 Fatty Acids such as fish.
I learned at another site for Dry Skin that an air conditioner can cause dry skin. 1st holistic.
I found a lot of good sites and they all kept mentioning diet as being important to maintaining healthy moisturized skin. Taking Care of Dry Skin.
In fact, diet has become one of my new concerns and I will be writing about it over the next few weeks.
