I am a frequent reader of your blog posts. I liked the recent one and other posts on your blog so much that I have subscribed to the blog’s RSS feed in Thunderbird. Even thinking of stealing some ideas and put them to work. Keep all the good work going by posting more informative posts. Thank you. Time well spent on this post.

Very good post and I agree 100% with what you have said. Progression is directly linked to a persons mindset. One sentence which I thought was particular good was: "No one can ultimately be pushed to greatness without the desire to do it in the first place." I think this is VERY true.

Progression is very important for humans, it feels good when you progress and you know you improved in something. It can come from either within or by learning something new. With practice one will always progress and improve.

I wholeheartedly agree that progression comes from the person from within. I feel progression can come easier once it starts rolling, and you get that momentum, momentum is huge in my opinion. I know for myself personally whenever I get better at what it is I am doing, I start feeling good, and the momentum continues to build up and I continue to progress, its like everything works nicely together at that point, you know what I mean?

Till then,

Jean

I especially like this line: "No one can ultimately be pushed to greatness without the desire to do it in the first place."

I think this one applies to a lot of people. At some point people get comfortable where they are and stop worrying about progress. You need to have that internal drive to aspire to do something more.

It is often the reason people in their work place feel epressed and down. Sometimes careers paths have a glass ceiling and people can become stuck without anywhere to move. Takes a change in mind set to realise that one must sometimes move across before they can move up.
