For those of you who are my regular readers you might have noticed something called the Carnival of Personal Development in my right sidebar. A blog carnival is nothing more than a way for bloggers to get some of their best articles read by a larger crowd of people. I simply setup a carnival with Blog Carnival and got started. Lots of people have already submitted there articles and the first edition will hit on December 1st, 2008. How appropriate, right? This is kind of like my Saturday Rap except, instead of me finding great articles, users send their articles to me.
So if you are a regular reader and not a blogger, simply enjoy the articles when the editions comes out…
If you are a blogger and have found this site through blog carnival or want to submit your article first read the guidelines…
- All articles are generally accepted, but the carnival host has full discretion as to whether they will include the article in the carnival or not.
- If your article is accepted, you will be notified of when your edition is posted.
- Once it is posted, all bloggers are asked to link back to the carnival. This helps everyone out, and helps everyone get the most traffic for their article.
- Articles must fit within one of three categories. Personal Development, Personal Finance, or Personal Health. Articles that do not fit within one of the three categories will generally be excluded from the carnival.
- The host will only accept one article per person per edition. Sorry.
- The carnival host generally does not answer questions about the carnival. Questions can be submitted through the comment section of this post. Please subscribe to comments or check back within 48 hours to see a response.
Thank you for reading the guidelines. If you feel you have a great article, please share it with us. We would love to read it!
Lastly, with the response so far I am considering doing this on a bi-weekly basis or even a weekly basis if I can get some help.
I need some people to volunteer to be carnival hosts.
The benefit of being a carnival host is that it gives your site a lot of exposure as well as backlinks.
Please contact me through blog carnival if you are interested. Thanks!

I have to admit that I joined one blog carnival this year, but really didn’t understand the concept of it all. I’m not even sure it worked, as I didn’t notice any increase in visits on the day the carnival launched (just thought about how weird a concept that sounds like). Still, I hope yours is a success.

Jeremy,
I have never joined a blog carnival and am also not entirely sure how they work, but I will definitely submit a post. Good luck with this, I hope it works out!

If you’re looking for shallow quick fixes, you’ll need to look elsewhere. This means having the maturity to take 100% responsibility for your health, your career, your finances, your relationships, your emotions, your habits, and your spiritual beliefs. It requires taking a hard look at yourself, consciously deciding what kind of person you truly are on the inside, and then getting your actions to be congruent with your true self. The goal is to help you achieve outstanding effectiveness while maintaining internal balance, where your thoughts, feelings, actions, and skills are all working together to create the life you truly desire.
